News

April has arrived and with it comes a new round in our monthly photography competition. This month, the theme is ‘Signs of Spring’.

April’s Competition

This is the third round of our monthly competition that runs until the end of the year.

Each month set a theme for the competition with entries being made via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. You just need to tag us @camerajabber and include the #tag for that month. For April use #signsofspring.

Spring is always a source of inspiration for photographers but after the long, cold, wet winter that we’ve had in the UK, the fresh growth and splashes of colour that herald its arrival are particularly welcome. And let’s not forget all the wildlife that becomes active at this time of year!

This theme runs until May when we’ll pick our favourite image from the April entries and decide which deserves the prize of a Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD with SD adaptor memory card worth £78.99.

We also have a 250GB Samsung SSD T5 portable storage unit worth £125.49 to give to the photographer of our favourite image at the end of the year. The overall winning image will be selected from all the monthly winners.

Competition Monthly Prize: Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD card

About the prizes

The Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD card with SD adaptor is a UHS-I U3 Class 10 memory card, that is 4K compatible and can be used in cameras and other devices that accept either a microSD or an SD card. Backed by Samsung’s 4-proof protection these cards are ultra reliable and are water, temperature, X-ray and magnetic proof making them the perfect partner for an action cam like a GoPro Hero6 Black, a mirrorless camera like the Fuji X-E3 or a DSLR like the Nikon D3400 – and a host of others.

Measuring just 74 x 57.3 x 10.5 mm (3.0 x 2.3 x 0.4 in), the 250GB Portable Samsung T5 is an excellent storage device for photographers on the move. And thanks to V-NAND technology and a USB 3.1 Gen interface it has fast transfer times so you don’t have to wait long for your images to copy across. It’s also compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Android*, so you can use it to back-up your data and photos from your PC, phone or laptop.
