April 2019 Competition Theme: Spring

Spring photography tips: 02 Shoot early in the day
News

It doesn’t matter how much you like snow, frost and the light from the low sun, spring always comes as something of a relief. Bare branches start to sprout leaves, flowers emerge from the soil and everyone seems to perk up at the sight of a bit of colour.

That’s why we’ve made spring the subject of the April round of our monthly photography competition. We want to see your best images of the season.

About the prizes

The Samsung 256GB EVO Plus microSD card with SD adaptor is a UHS-I U3 Class 10 memory card, that is 4K compatible and can be used in cameras and other devices that accept either a microSD or an SD card. Backed by Samsung’s 4-proof protection these cards are ultra reliable and are water, temperature, X-ray and magnetic proof making them the perfect partner for an action cam like a GoPro Hero7 Black, a mirrorless camera like the Fujifilm X-E3 or a DSLR like the Nikon D3500 – and a host of others.

Measuring just 74 x 57.3 x 10.5 mm (3.0 x 2.3 x 0.4 in), the 500GB Portable Samsung T5 is an excellent storage device for photographers on the move. And thanks to V-NAND technology and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface it has fast transfer times so you don’t have to wait long for your images to copy across.

Samsung supplies the T5 with a USB Type-C to USB-C cable and a USB Type-C to USB-A cable so it can be used with a wide range of devices. It’s also compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Android*, so you can use it to back-up your data and photos from your PC, phone or laptop.
