Adobe has released an update to Camera Raw and its DNG Converter to add support for the Nikon D850’s raw files, along with several new Nikon lenses.

Adobe’s Camera Raw 9.12.1 is available to download now. In addition to the Nikon D850, Camera Raw 9.12.1 adds lens profile support for the following NIKKOR lenses:

  • AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR
  • AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR
  • AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED
  • AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4E ED

What’s more, Adobe says the Camera Raw update fixes a few bugs reported by users. Chief among these is an issue that caused a magenta colour cast on some mRaw and sRaw images from the Canon EOS 6D Mark II camera. Adobe says this is now resolved with the update.

Adobe says it plans to release an equivalent update for Lightroom very soon. In the meantime, Adobe suggests photographers with a Nikon D850 use its free DNG Converter, which has been updated to support D850 raw files.

You can download the DNG Converter for Mac or Windows.
