3 Legged Thing has announced a major update to its entry-level Punks range of tripods, unveiling the Corey, Travis, Brian and Billy 2.0.
The new 3 Legged Thing Punks 2.0 tripods now feature three detachable legs, allowing users to convert them into monopods or booms. 3LT’s new Vanz tripod feet, sold separately, are also compatible with the Punks 2.0 tripods, enabling you to convert them into tabletop supports.
3 Legged Thing has also given its Punks 2.0 tripods the same anti-rotation shims that feature in its Pro Range 2.0 and Legends tripods, improving their stability when the legs are fully extended.
Other upgrades to the twist lock tripods include thicker leg locks, which 3 Legged Thing says lowers the tripod’s centre of gravity. The leg locks also feature a new exterior design with rubber pads that provide a better grip and leverage in wet conditions.
The Punks 2.0 tripod canopies also all now include an integrated 1⁄4”-20 thread for attaching an accessory arm to your tripod.
